Welcome back to Traveler

Open Traveler.cmd starts this local browser viewer. Keep its server window open while viewing.

Click Enter world to begin in first person, with a reconstructed drop-in and the recovered entrance sound. Click inside the world to capture the mouse; Esc releases it.

WASD flies in the direction you aim, including up or down. A/D strafes relative to your view. Space / Q flies up/down. Shift moves faster. Home replays arrival; End levels the camera. V cycles First person, Third person (behind you), My Avatar (facing you), and Explore and Enter focuses chat.

The world menu is at the top right. Edit has avatar and sound settings. Help → Navigation & keys includes original Traveler arrow-key controls.

This edition restores world geometry, textures, baked colors, spinning signs, and the airplane banner. Avatars now use 158 original 3D models. Edit → Customize avatar opens a rotatable preview and a painter for the original color regions. Native expressions and mouth shapes are available for 156 models. Use Expressions → See my face, then Happy, Sad, Angry or Surprised. Test talking previews speech movement. Mic preview makes the mouth follow your voice locally after browser permission; Stop mic preview releases it. This does not connect voice chat. Two models with mismatched animation data remain static.

World sounds fade with distance. Edit → Settings provides Sound on/off, Effects audible range, and Restart audio. Individual world objects do not add permanent controls to the main settings.

Chat is a local draft only. Messages stay in this tab until reload. This viewer is not connected to other people or the original Traveler voice server. Some archived worlds may still contain unavailable textures or unsupported behaviors.

Menu organization and navigation draw on the original Traveler user guide.
